Detective Malik Rezgui is confronted by Anna Voutyras, mother of a young girl that was kidnapped 11 years earlier. Malik not only did not catch the kidnapper, but also the girl died during the planned exchange for money. The murder case is about to reach the statute of limitations in six days, and Anna is angry that Malik just stopped working on the case a long time ago. Shaken by that experience, Razgui reviews the case again and visits the crime scene, a secluded sandspit on the coast. While looking around, he finds a white rose left on a wooden pole. He calls Anna and asks if she left the rose or if she talked about the case with someone recently, but she denies it. Malik finds a CCTV nearby, overlooking the road, and reviews the footage, hoping to find the car that belonged to the person who left the rose on the crime scene. The footage does provide him with the model of a car, but there are too many such cars in the vicinity that he could check in just few days he had left, so he tries to appeal to the judge to extend the statute of limitations for this case, but his motion is denied.

A French thriller based on the South Korean 2013 film Montage, tells a story of a detective with guilty conscience, mother grieving her dead daughter and illusive killer, who seems to be always two steps ahead of everyone. The plot starts when there are just 6 days until the statute of limitations will run out on the case, but it is not a film with a lot of action, it is more character based detective fiction, which is a nice change. The atmosphere is good, the characters are interesting, the plot is fine, although some details are a bit murky, but overall it is a decent movie that will keep you involved until the very end.
