On the Other Side of the Tracks (2012, France)

Ousmane Diakite, a maverick police officer from a public housing neighbourhood of Paris, is mistaken for a criminal and arrested. Next day, the body of the wife of a rich businessman is found in his housing project. Ousmane is convinced the two events are somehow connected and tries to investigate them both, but in order to do so, he has to team up with Francois Monge, a police detective from a very different part of the city. While Diakite is more of a loose cannon and blends in perfectly in the working-class urban areas, Monge is the opposite - a career-building, by-the-book kind of officer, who fits better with the people you will find in the luxury restaurants and private clubs. And for their investigation, they will have to get into the both worlds.
French comedy based on not very original idea, the fish out of the water times two plus contrast between the two main characters, but with good cast and interesting plot, it somehow works. Both characters have their strong suits and their weak points, which means they have to rely on the one another to guide them through the treacherous waters of their investigation.
