Jack Chambers is doing well in his corporation job, so he buys a new house in an exclusive neighbourhood. He and his wife went through a rough patch in the past when Kay had an extramarital affair, this new house is Jack’s way to turn the new leaf. While moving into the house, Jack receives a suspicious phone call, a distressed woman said something bad has happened and put the phone down before Jack could ask her for the details. Soon after moving in, the Chambers are invited to a party at their neighbours, Doug and Andrea. It turns out it is a swingers party, which makes Jack storm out. From that point he begins to pay more attention to the couple next door and even gets closer to Doug. As it turns out he is a crime scene technician for the police, usually takes photos of the crime scenes, which could be a bit gruesome. While the whole swingers parties stops being a taboo topic for them, Jack also learns that Doug is taking care of one of the houses in the neighbourhood as its owner, a single woman, took a long holiday in New Zealand. After the garbage collectors accidentally left some litter thrown around the street, Jack finds out that Doug has been throwing away letters for the homeowner, which he was supposed to forward to New Zealand. At the same time, Jack becomes closer with Andrea, who seems to be overwhelmed by the swingers’ lifestyle of her husband, suspiciously quiet and withdrawn. Jack begins to suspect Doug of keeping more than one secret.

British TV series, which at first glance would seem like a boring story of marital problems while surrounded by morally dubious characters. And up to a point it is just that - no one in that story is black or white, everyone keeps some secrets and everyone has some ulterior motives. One moment, one accident turns the whole story upside down and leads to quite interesting ending. The show had some pacing issues and some bits of the narration were a bit confusing, but overall it was a surprisingly well-built crime mystery drama.
