A police commissioner, Holger, tells his daughter a story about the case that he still regrets never solving, a case of a married couple Christian and Leonora Holm. He was a contractor, she was a housewife who put her musical career aside to take care of their infant son. Their marriage have hit the rocks when Christian fell in love with his co-worker, a woman younger than him called Xenia. Not only Leonora became suspicious about him, but also caught the two of them having sex in his office. Christian was planning to leave his wife and be with Xenia, but the situation took a nasty turn. Leonora reminded him that Christian and hid business partner, Peter, committed a fraud in the past and now her testimony could put him in jail. Christian did this to find money to save their son, who required an expensive treatment, but now, pushed up against the wall, Leonora will not hesitate to turn him in. While trying to find a way out, Christian meets with Leonora’s old friend, who has an interesting story to share with him.

Danish thriller built around the premise that most of the murders are committed by loved ones, close to the victims. A seemingly loving family and a single event that turns their lives upside down. It is a simple, yet surprisingly dark story that keeps evolving into something that you would not expect. Well written plot, good cast and tense atmosphere makes this a memorable movie.
