Kill or Cure 1962 detective movie

Kill or Cure (1962, United Kingdom)
Captain Barker-Rynde is running a photo studio and is a private investigator as well. When a rich widow, Margaret Clifford, contacts him regarding "watching someone" and offers a significant amount of money, he jumps to the opportunity. His instructions are to travel to Green Glades country estate and await contact from his client. On arrival, Barker-Rynde discovers that Green Glades is a health farm with very strict rules - not only the guests are served nothing but healthy food, but also live in huts with parts of the walls missing so they would not miss the refreshing British air. Captain is horrified, but the reward made by Mrs Clifford was too good to decline, so he goes through the process of becoming a part of the course. Doctor Rumbelow, who will be in charge of his treatment at Green Glades, from the very beginning brushes the captain the wrong way, asking personal questions and criticizing his health choices. During the night, Barker-Rynde receives a message from the widow and sneaks into the house to meet with her, only to find her dead.
British comedy with iconic actors in the cast (Terry-Thomas, Eric Sykes, Ronnie Barker) and the detective plot good enough to keep the audience involved in solving it. The comedy bit was perhaps not the strongest side of the film, even though Terry-Thomas had a talent to turn bad ideas into good movies, but the mixture of comedy and mystery was good enough to keep it fresh.
