CSI: Crime Scene Investigation 2003 detective game

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2003, Canada)
If you take seriously the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation TV series, Las Vegas must be the busiest place in the world when it comes to surprising or unnatural deaths. In this game you are assisting five different team members from the show: Gil Grissom, Sara Sidle, Nick Stokes, Warrick Brown and Catherine Willows. Grissom is called to the crime scene in a hotel, where a showgirl was found tied, gagged and strangled to death. With plenty of the tools available to our disposal, we begin the investigation by checking the body and the surroundings, also interrogating some of the witnesses or the suspects. At the end of this case, we also learn that Gil Grissom went missing...
When it comes to detective games CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is surprisingly sophisticated on one hand and at the same time remains true to the spirit of the TV series. Thanks to the wide range of tools we can use to inspect the area or the evidence, the investigation unveils at each step of the way. The construction of the whole set of five different cases was also well-designed - while they are separate, at the core they have something in-common, something that will help us solve the mystery of sudden disappearance of Gil Grissom.
The graphics and the voice acting were not the strong points of this game, the user interface had its problems, but overall, for an adaptation of a TV series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was a good effort. The narrative construction also helped to keep the player interested until the very end.
