Would you say there is something interesting in a number 787? No, me neither. At least until last week. The July last year was pretty active on The Lone Detective, exactly 787 users took active part in the game, which was a nice touch. It was the highest number in history... for a month because in August last year over 1000 users challenged themselves with the cases available.

So what was so special about the 787? Nothing much. Apart from the fact that in July this year, exactly 787 users took part in the game. Again. Magic? No. Evil conspiracy? Not really. Coincidence? Yes, but a spooky one.

But what if I tell you that in August this year (which ended just 2 days ago) again 787 people opened casefiles in The Lone Detective. Magic? Might be. Evil conspiracy? Perhaps, but not necessarily an evil one. Coincidence? I don’t know any more.

And to be clear, no, those were completely different users, most of which opened their first casefile in the game. Spooky or what?
