The Casebook of Max and Ivan 2016 detective radio show

The Casebook of Max and Ivan (2016, United Kingdom)
Max and Ivan are private detectives somewhere in London, operating from a tiny office, which quite frankly, they cannot afford anyway. The job is scarce, the incomes are tiny, but at least their morale is really, really low. But once in a while, they do get a new case, and they dive deep into the insanity of people around them. From a retired beauty pageant winner, C-movies director and actors to the surprisingly active retirees in a nursing home, it is hard to find a more bizarre set of clients. No case is too small, no payment is too small, no character too weird for them not to take the job.
A radio parody of detective stories, kept in a light and absurdist atmosphere, with plenty of good one-liners and twists to keep the whole show entertaining. The creators managed to bring talented actors for single-episode parts (f.e. Joanna Lumley, June Whitfield, Matt Lucas, Richard Wilson). Written and performed by the comedy duo Max and Ivan, the casebook is filled with various kinds of cases, but the narration and dynamic form of the scenes keep it interesting throughout the entire show.
