The 10:30 from Marseille 1962 detective book

The 10:30 from Marseille 1962 detective story

The 10:30 from Marseille (1962, France)

Original title: Compartiment tueurs

When night train from Marseille arrives to Paris a young woman is found dead on board. Paris detectives begin the investigation and their first step is to find and question the passengers that shared the sleeping berth with the victim, which proves to be harder than it seemed.

The 1962 novel is typical for the era in French art - the modern elements are mixed with the dark shadows of the past and the detectives are still close to film-noir standards. Gripping story and colourful characters make this novel a treat.
